We acknowledge that we are settlers on stolen Lands originally stewarded by the Ramaytush Ohlone and Wiyot Peoples.
We are grateful to the Ramaytush Ohlone and Wiyot peoples for caretaking these Lands for generations. We honor the Ancestors – past, present, and future. We advocate for Land Back (returning Indigenous Lands to Indigenous Communities) and Rematriation of the Land (restoration of cultural practices and relationships with the Land).
Much of the mental health struggles our world faces today can be traced to colonization and capitalism, to systems that intend to keep us disconnected and exhausted. As such, prioritizing our individual and collective mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health is a form of decolonizing.
As a group practice, we continue to learn and be curious of the ways we participate in ongoing exploitation of Lands that are not Native to us. We strive to decolonize our minds, the mental health field, and our therapy practices.
As part of our gratitude and advocacy, a portion of our fees go toward the Sogorea Te’ Land Trust. May we all consider our impact on the Land and on the Indigenous Peoples of the Land who are still here today. May we continue to educate ourselves and consider supporting Land Back initiatives, paying land taxes, uplifting Indigenous voices, supporting efforts to protect sacred sites, and supporting Indigenous Sovereignty.
